Dr. Bravina
Kuni is a Clinical Psychologist who works with pre-schoolers,
school-aged children, and adolescents. She provides
consultation, as well as psycho-diagnostic evaluation
and intervention for a range of psychological
difficulties including anxiety, depression,
obsessive-compulsive disorder, disruptive behaviours,
social difficulties, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD). Dr. Kuni also provides psychological
assessment for learning difficulties (including
giftedness), intellectual disability, and other
difficulties such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.
Dr.
Kuni graduated from the Clinical Developmental
Psychology program at York University. She is a
registered member of the College of Psychologists of
Ontario.
APPROACH
Dr. Kuni
takes a collaborative, culturally-sensitive, and
strengths-based approach to her practice to meet the
unique needs of her clients. Her practice is always
informed by evidence-based practice and empirical
research. Dr. Kuni primarily uses cognitive-behavioural
therapy, behaviour modification, play therapy, and
social skills training.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Kuni
graduated with her doctorate in clinical developmental
psychology in 2015. She completed the licensing
requirements of the College of Psychologists of Ontario
in 2017 and was granted a certificate of autonomous
practice as Registered Psychologist. She has received
training and experience in a variety of hospital and
community-based outpatient programs (The Hospital for
Sick Children, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health,
Southlake Regional Health Centre, and Child Development
Centre in Kingston).
ABOUT
Dr. Kuni
enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. In
her spare time, she loves playing piano and singing.
